From tomesode to wedding dress

Hello, this is the kimono remake and kimono reform service in Yokohama Aobadai.『gallery/rurimon』

We received a tomesode (formal kimono) and remade it into a dress for a wedding ceremony.
This is something I always think about - Japanese traditional techniques are truly wonderful! The intricate pattern composition woven into fabric that is 12 meters long and 30 cm wide, the pattern matching... it takes my breath away. And then to make the most of that fabric to tailor Western clothing - it's very difficult, but it's very rewarding work.
This time as well, through full custom order, we consulted thoroughly with the customer about sizing and pattern matching to create the perfect garment.
The wedding is in December... congratulations!
