Jacket remade from pure silk, hand-woven kimono fabric

Hello. We are Rurimon, a kimono remake atelier based in Aobadai, Yokohama. We previously made a pair of pants using the same fabric. This jacket was made from the remaining cloth, using as much length as the leftover material would allow. The design was quite simple, so we added a little character to the look by cutting the chest pocket and cuffs on the bias — giving the garment a slightly more tailored, Western feel. A great success! It came together as a wonderful matching set.
