Remake a long vest from a tiger-patterned men's long juban (kimono undergarment)

Hello. We are Rurimon, a kimono-to-clothing remake atelier based in Aobadai, Yokohama.
We had the pleasure of receiving a rare piece — a men's long juban (under-kimono) that had belonged to the client's father. We remade it into a women's garment: a long vest.
The bold tiger pattern is simply breathtaking — just looking at it gets you excited! To have this remade into everyday clothing and actually wear it out — how stylish and stunning!
At the center front, we added one large fabric-covered button made from the same material. The slits on both sides were cut long and open to bring out a feminine silhouette.
Just as we had hoped, she wore it beautifully.
